Introduction

My name is Sue Boman and this book is a record of a symbolic cross-country trek that I undertook in 2012. My hope is that my series of walks will promote an awareness of white cane users and the special needs of people who are either blind or partially sighted. I began this journey on the west coast of British Columbia on March 23, 2012 and completed it on the Atlantic coast of Newfoundland on September 17 of the same year. The following pages are copies of journal blog entries I made during my travels.
